Transformers In Theaters Today

I didnt like it at all. Was hoping it would be more for the older audience because well... transformers was back in the 80's and such... i understand that money is money and thats what movies are for.

I would smack this movie in between pirates III and 300 in the epic scale. Way to much of the 'heroic' music going and too many slow-mo scenes with nothing happening. What really gave me a kick though was how many times i heard Optimus saying how humans should decide between life and death themselves. Remember similar lines coming out of King Leonidas by any chance?

Blockbusters by these days just give me that feeling of wasting my time seeing another blockbuster. O well... it was more than meets the eye eh?

also, a lot of the weapons the robots used and what they transformed into didnt match the cartoon at all. like Barricade was a race car, not a Police car. it shows me anyway, that even with a lot of fancy explosions, some hot chick/dumb goofy kid and awesome graphics, its still not the same.

money is money and people like explosions and destruction! seems like all blockbusters try and do the same thing time and time again

The people I was going with were talking about going to a drive in to see it, but I dont get it. Id rather just do a regular theatre. And how does your drive in work, 2 movies? Ive never been to one.

They need to have the dinobots is what I would like to see. The Constructicons are all ready in the movie they are just merged into Devastator. They need to have cup and hotrod in the movie

Me too actually. I only remember a few of the original transformer shows, but I think I saw just about every Beast Wars

I liked it. I wouldn't place it as a favorite, but it was good. Way too much product placement, even by today's standards. Every other car on the road was a GM, an SSR is just sitting looking all shiny in the middle of chaos. A guy is walking down the road with an XBOX360 box in hand..ugh.

The story had holes, characters were a little weak.

But, it did have a lot of good moments, and to me, those moments overcame the shortcomings.
