Y'all are missing the point. It's not so much the car itself, but what it stands for. It's an icon of American culture, just like the Mustang and to a lesser extent the Viper. I'd be royally pissed if any of these previously mentioned cars were sold to foreign companies.

Um--you need to back that up considering the vette has one of the highest rated mpg's of any sports car on the market, somewhere around 28hwy which is better than many cars

Hell, I'd be MORE inclined to buy it if it was from Toyota. **** american companies screwing too much over. They've been bailed out once already when the foreign cars had a limit put on them - second chance already has been lost.

Toyota, however, instead of picking up the corvette series, should rather put out another series of the Supra. That car was ftw.
