hi all. im currently running a sony cdx-ca750 head unit to a sony mobile es xm-7547 amp. the rear channels of the amp are running 2 mtx 6000 12s in parallel to give a 2 ohm load. the front channels are running orion xtr 5.2 components in kick panels on the floor in the front. my problem is that the 12s are a little too much for my car. the amp is turned down quite a bit and my trunk still rattles like crazy (thats what you get from a 9 yr old car) I own a 92 corsica. my question is about changing the subs. i have recently fell in love with planet audio subs, especially the big bang series.
what performance difference do you think there would be going from the mtx 12s, 2 ohm load with 2 inch voice coils, to the bb10 from planet audio, a sub with 2 3 " voice coils, each at 2 ohms, paralleled to 1 ohm. the amp is 0.5 ohm stable.
also, if you could suggest a nice 10"er, that would be great.
