Title: Subwoofer & Amplifier Cheat Sheet – Quick Reference for Wiring & Setup

In which case you’re not even sharing information, you are selling a product for $10, this isn’t even really the right section for it. Shouldn’t be surprising people are hesitant to click a random link to some pay site and or download a PDF.

This is the section it brought me to to post the product, yes Im selling a pdf on information about subwoofer and amp wiring guide...
Now you know I'm no a scammen piece of shit

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think I'm in the wrong place. The guide is specifically about subwoofer and amplifier wiring, so the Subwoofers section is directly related to what I'm offering. I'm not trying to scam anyone or hide what it is—I'm being upfront that it's a $10 PDF containing information I've put together. People sell guides, manuals, plans, and other information all the time. I'm simply trying to offer something I created to people who might find it useful. If someone doesn't want to buy it, that's completely fine, but selling information that I created doesn't make me a scammer. I feel like you just got a issue with the whole idea of it.. anyway bro I'm not here to debate or hate on anything I'm just responding to you because your comments pretty much made me out to be shady or I might be ripping off people and I'm just trying to show you I'm legitimately not out ta get people.

That is something that has been available on a few different websites for years free.

You're absolutely right that the underlying information isn't new. A lot of this information has been available online for years. I'm not claiming I invented Ohm's law, impedance, amplifier wiring, crossover settings, or any of that.

The point of my cheat sheet is that instead of someone having to dig through years of forum posts, videos, calculators, and conflicting information, I've put the important stuff together in one organized reference that's easier to understand and actually use when you're building or setting up a system.

It's basically a convenience/reference guide. The information may be free individually, but having the right information organized in one place and presented in a way that's easy to follow has value. That's really what I'm selling—not some secret information that nobody else has ever seen.

Why are there so many judgmental people and haters quick to knock somebody instead of actually trying to understand what they’re doing? 🤦‍♂️

Nobody’s even asking questions like, “What’s actually in it?” “Why is it $10?” “What makes it worth $10?” “What’s different about this PDF/ebook compared to all the free information already online?”

Instead, people see somebody trying to create something productive and immediately want to criticize it. Like damn, at least ask questions before you judge it. 😂

I’m not saying everybody has to buy it. If it’s not for you, cool. But why hate on somebody for trying to turn knowledge they’ve spent years learning into something they can actually offer to people?

Everybody wants to talk about supporting people when they’re successful, but where’s that same energy when somebody is actually trying to build something from the ground up?

You don’t have to buy it. You don’t even have to agree with it. But at least understand what the person is trying to do before you judge it. That’s all. 💯

Y'all REALLY know what your amp is seeing? 😂🔊

I got a question for the serious bassheads because I keep seeing everybody throw around “1 ohm,” “2 ohm,” RMS, watts, etc. like that's the whole story. Y'all know your amp ain't actually seeing some perfect 1-ohm resistor while your music is playing, right? 😂 That “1 ohm” printed on the sub is basically the nominal load. The actual impedance changes with frequency. Voice-coil resistance, inductance, the box, tuning, mechanical movement, all that shit changes what the amplifier is actually dealing with.

And here's where it gets crazy... You can have TWO systems both called “1 ohm,” running the same amp voltage, and they can still pull different current at different frequencies and make different SPL. Even multiple subs wired in parallel don't necessarily split the current perfectly. Differences in coil resistance, wire resistance, temperature and the actual behavior of each sub can change how much current each one takes.

So when somebody says, “I'm wired to 1 ohm, so I know exactly what my amp is doing.” 🤔 Do you though? Because there's a BIG difference between measuring resistance with a multimeter and knowing the actual AC impedance the amplifier is seeing while music is playing.

Then throw enclosure tuning, impedance phase, cone excursion, voltage drop, current draw and thermal compression into the equation... now that simple “1-ohm system” ain't looking so simple anymore. 😂

I'm curious though — how many of y'all actually measure what's happening under load instead of just going by the impedance printed on the sub and the final wiring configuration?

I wanna hear some answers from the people who REALLY get into the electrical side of this shit. 🔊💯

Just wanted to throw this out there for anybody into car audio. 🔊

I put together a car-audio cheat sheet that's basically meant to be a quick-reference guide for people who are serious about their subs, amps and overall setup.

What makes it different isn't that I'm claiming I invented information that's never been on the internet before. It's the way I put everything together. Instead of having to search through 50 different posts, watch a bunch of videos, save screenshots, compare different people's answers and try to figure out what actually applies to your setup, it's all organized together in one place.

It covers the kind of stuff bassheads are constantly trying to figure out — subwoofer and amplifier matching, impedance and wiring, RMS power, gain, crossovers, HPF/LPF, electrical considerations, box and enclosure information, troubleshooting and the little details that can make a difference when you're trying to get a system set up right.

The whole point is convenience. You can have it saved on your phone and pull it up when you're actually standing next to your car working on the system instead of having to stop what you're doing and start searching the internet for an answer.

And I tried to put it together from the perspective of somebody who actually understands and enjoys this shit, not just copy and paste a bunch of random specifications and call it a guide.

It's basically a condensed reference you can keep with you when you're building, wiring, setting up, troubleshooting or upgrading your system.

Just wanted to give everybody a little preview of what I'm working with. 🔊💯

Here's another one for the bassheads who really get into the technical side of this shit. 🔊

A lot of people think if an amp is rated for 3,000 watts at 1 ohm, and your subs are wired to a nominal 1 ohm, then you already know what the amplifier is dealing with.

Not exactly.

A subwoofer isn't a resistor. Its impedance is frequency-dependent, and the impedance you're dealing with is also affected by the enclosure and the driver's mechanical behavior. So the load the amplifier sees can change substantially as the frequency changes.

And here's where it gets even crazier: voltage and impedance aren't enough by themselves to tell the whole story either. In an AC system, impedance has both magnitude AND phase. The current doesn't necessarily line up with the voltage the way it would with a simple resistive load.

That's why two systems that both measure “1 ohm” with a meter can behave completely different once they're actually playing music.

Then you start looking at the enclosure's tuning, the impedance curve, cone excursion, port loading, power compression, voltage sag and current demand, and you realize that saying “I'm running 3,000 watts at 1 ohm” is really only the beginning of the conversation.

That's the stuff I like getting into.

Anybody can memorize wiring diagrams and amplifier ratings. I wanna know what's actually happening electrically and acoustically AFTER you hit play. 😂🔊💯

I got my first view and the person automatically thinks it's a scam because it's a link.. SMH
Given the nature of things these days, it's prudent to be cautious - especially when your link costs money.

Granted, it's all well and good, but trust takes a bit of time, and you just got here, so while it's not an issue in this instance, don't be taken aback if someone calls it out; it's not personal.

:)

Honestly bro, thanks for being real with me and actually giving me a respectful response. You’re probably the nicest reply I’ve gotten since I joined here 😂. I ain't trying to come on here acting like I know everything or just push some shit on people. I'm really just trying to help people out, share what I know, and hopefully contribute something useful to the community. The whole goal is to put some information together that can actually help somebody who’s trying to figure out their system instead of wasting money or blowing equipment. I understand people are gonna be cautious, especially with me being new and having a link up. I just gotta earn people's trust and let my knowledge and contributions speak for themselves. That's really all I'm trying to do.

The site has old-time die-hard contributors who remember when you could trust, and they/I can be a bit crusty. But it's all in the name of taking care of the group.

I've seen your post; it's solid info, something every forum needs to have more of, so don't let the "crusty" get under your skin.

We've had a couple of posts lately calling out someone trying to scam the members.

Thankfully, nobody has been stung.

My name is Steve, and I'm an Audioholic.

It's been less than 24 hours since my last fix purchase, which was 24 sq ft of 1" Second Skin Mega Zorbe!

Thanks for letting me share...

Welcome!

Man, I appreciate that more than you know, Steve. 😂 Honestly, you're probably the nicest response I've gotten so far.

I completely understand why people on here are cautious, especially with all the scam shit going around. I’m not mad at anybody for looking out for the community. I just don’t want people judging what I’m trying to do before they actually know what the hell I’m about.

I’m just trying to put together useful information for people who are getting into car audio or trying to understand their amps, subs, wiring, crossovers, gains, box builds, processors, impedance and all that good stuff. I’m not trying to bullshit anybody or take advantage of anybody. I actually enjoy this shit and I’ve been learning it for a long time.

And apparently I’ve found my people because calling yourself an “Audioholic” while admitting you just bought 24 sq ft of 1" Mega Zorbe is ******* hilarious. 😂😂

Thanks for the welcome, brother. I appreciate you giving me a fair shake. And don't worry, I won't let the crusty get under my skin. 😎
