Three Subs to Choose From (PPI, Boston, or HE)...

Hello all...I am a member of a few different forums and was suggested this forum to help me decide between three different subs. Apparently these subs arent really popular because no one knew much about them.

The amp I will be using is the Soundstream Picasso 900.1:

and three subs I am looking at are:

PPI DCX-122:

Just incase you don't know yet, the HC series has been cancelled and replaced by the SX series. Still a great woofer, my recommendation.

I have actually been debating the Bostons in my car, they sound good but I am looking to get 2 10s. I am also trying to figure out if this is the right direction for the sub or if I should go another route.

I don't think you guys noticed that he is putting it in a sealed box. DO NOT put an Sx in a sealed box, you will just be wasting a lot of output. The EBP on those is way too high for a sealed box.

I would definitely suggest the Bostons for the sealed box. Should have very good sound quality and probably the best choice for you. The PPI may also have some problems in a sealed box.

well I was only planning on going sealed because I want to make the box myself. I will be staying with my sis and bro inlaw over the summer and he is a carpenter. I suppose I could go ported...a little more work wouldnt hurt and the experience would be cool...so yeah....I gues i could go ported.
