This scamming shit has to end.

I bet if someone offered a service, say, I will ride down to said scammers house and collect your monies, items or just hand at an open can of whoop ***.
This person would make doodoo dumb dollars! Or, they would go bankrupt paying for gas to get to the scammer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

^^ that is the shit I am talking about. WHAT THE ****!.........youve got to be out of your mind to buy that shit. This item shouldnt even be in the classifieds.
You realize thats a post dump right? Even if you didn't mean it that way.

The idea to have the dood throw it on ebay is a good one though. Anybody can say their ebay ID is "xxxxxx" but unless they list the item under that ID thats another scam tactic to make themselves look good. Unless they list the item under the mentioned ebay ID they may just be saying they are that ebay user. Not hard to sign up here under the same ID as some ebayer with good feedback.

The seller will lose some money on ebay fees but if they are new here and want to sell, listing it on ebay may be a way to start feedback here.

At hardforum.com they use heatware feedback system which works pretty well. Maybe we should start using it here.

Here is a link to mine

http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=63266

It list your feedback, email address and location.

^^ something like this would improve the Sell/Buy/Trade system on this website.
Yeah I think so too. Instead of just having people you dealt with in your sig or what not you could also put a link to your heatware which you can not modify

i say people just be real about their shit i have no problem with some one comming to my house and meeting with them or even working on their cars im trust worthy if ur local to me just call me and we can meet up talk bullshit work on cars .this is supposed to be a friendly community for people who love car audio.that said i say every city should have a rep and every rep is very known, that way if some one if some one is doing a trade or sale . the major rep has the information (drivers licence number)of the person and then another major rep has the other information that and and of coarse all the lgal paper on here print the items for sale or trade then just go with it. if their are to be any altercation in the transaction then both buys and sellers aggree on on refunds or returns .i say my idea works awesome before any trade or sales goes down the major rep test the product to see its in working condition then both reps say both products work and bamm u got a smooth ***** action no scam but the major reps should be tipped after every transaction(either in food money products anything just to show ur respect for them

I hereby formally offer Mach 5 Audio to operate as an escrow service for those who seek added protection when performing transactions through this site.
This is how it will work:

- Buyer and seller agree to price for product

- Buyer sends all relevant information on purchase (what was purchased, price, expected delivery method, pictures if any, etc.) to Mach 5 Audio

- Buyer sends purchase amount for said product via PayPal plus 6% of total

- Funds remain with Mach 5 Audio until buyer receives said product, examines it, and notifies Mach 5 that the transaction is complete

- Mach 5 then sends the funds to seller. The 6% "fee" is for the PayPal transaction fee - 3% from buyer to Mach 5 and 3% from Mach 5 to seller.

- If there are discrepancies, such as damaged goods, delays in shipping, etc. Mach 5 will assist with getting things resolved (to the best of my ability of course)

There, how's that?
I would say it would have to be, the item and the money comes to you.

Its like if you see somebody about to step in a puddle of water, do you warn them? Or do you let them step in the water and ruin their new shoes? It can definately go both ways. A. you can warn them and they are "less likely" to step in that puddle of water again, or B you can let them step in it and then they are WAY more likely not to step in that puddle again because they have first hand experienced how it feels and it sucks.
first you have to get to the step where people will listen. Wont happen here.

You should be banned, that guy did all he can to prove himself as not a scammer dude. I would say this guy is trustworthy, but yet I wouldn't buy from him as I am sketchy also. But still I am sure that there is a 90% chance he isn't a scammer.

The *safest* way for everyone (buyer and seller) is through an escrow service.
It is, but the cost of an escrow service can likely negate the savings of buying used, or atleast make it close enough to new prices to just skip the hassle and go new.
