I hereby formally offer Mach 5 Audio to operate as an escrow service for those who seek added protection when performing transactions through this site.

This is how it will work:

- Buyer and seller agree to price for product

- Buyer sends all relevant information on purchase (what was purchased, price, expected delivery method, pictures if any, etc.) to Mach 5 Audio

- Buyer sends purchase amount for said product via PayPal plus 6% of total

- Funds remain with Mach 5 Audio until buyer receives said product, examines it, and notifies Mach 5 that the transaction is complete

- Mach 5 then sends the funds to seller. The 6% "fee" is for the PayPal transaction fee - 3% from buyer to Mach 5 and 3% from Mach 5 to seller.

- If there are discrepancies, such as damaged goods, delays in shipping, etc. Mach 5 will assist with getting things resolved (to the best of my ability of course)

Once you scam it should be perma ban.

You just never know. Someone could sit and make posts and build up one big scam thread. It doesn't really matter. When you buy you either take the plunge or don't buy. I still think there are good people out there and so far I have had good results.

Now I sound like easy prey....lol

though i'm semi-sketchy to buy equipment from users that sell things here. i buy on ebay but i buy from outlets or the like.

yeah.

even though i have never been scammed i hope it will never happen. i would also have to agree that it is the buyers responsibility to set his set of rules onto what they should look for before sending off money or equipment.

Its as simple as making every transaction on here C.O.D. I don't think there's a possibility of getting scammed that way either.

Everytime I am leery of buying something from someone with little to no refs, even if its for $100, I always ask for them to shi first. I have 20+ refs and have never had a bad thing said about me. If they dont want to ship first, just pass it by.

Sounds good to me, between this and some common sense I think we could get rid of scamming all together.

Yes, there is. COD cannot be applied between US and Canada. Also, you being the buyer may receive a box, but until you get it home and crack it open, you still have no idea what it is. I believe there's a massive thread going on right now because someone received the wrong "product".

It just seems to me right now we can sit here and discuss this entire process 100 times over, but none of us really have the power to enforce any of these regulations.(Not saying they are 100% perfect and they are going to work). Every system will have flaws, but its whats better for the overall community.

I can't believe we are still *****ing about this. Buyer responsibility, know your seller. I understand that you can do all your homework and still get scammed, welcome to making a transaction on the internet. The lower prices don't come without risk.
