This scamming shit has to end.

Why do you feel the need to address this? Do you think this thread wills top all people from being scammed? Open your eyes. Who cares if people are dumbasses and deal with an obvious scammer? They should grow a ****ing brain. It does **** for the people who get ripped off by "legitimate" sellers, but there's nothing you can do about that either. Some people are just ****ing scum and they build their rep with the intentions on scamming. If you're so worried about it stop buying, selling, and trading, but your thread isn't going to change shit, as much as we all wish it would.

If you put a certain limit on the amount of posts people need to sell/trade, people will just spam the board till they get that many posts. Unless you make it a high amount and then the mods will have to keep a close watch and ban people they see doing that to get their post count up.
well if you see people spammin it up, then contact a mod and get their shit deleted.

You make a point, just sucks people get scammed all the time. I have never been scammed because I acctually follow the guidelines the mods have said in their stickies.... and I have a brain.

Nothing I can do about it, You can post sticky's all day long and that doesnt solve the problem.
I know people will get scammed from time to time. but this is happening way too much.

Im just a forum member.... you tell me what I can do and ill help the cause.
If I had the answers I would freely give them over, I assure you.

My point was if you're only just now noticing the tendency towards the inscrutable then you're a page or two behind...

It's easy to avoid getting scammed online. It really is. It's equally as easy TO get scammed if you don't do your homework first.

I dunno...it's an issue I recognized long ago and it never ceases to aggravate me when another victim falls. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Your logic is flawed though, How can people start selling to build up their seller refs, if you have to have seller refs tos tart selling?
Well most people sell shit and scam with like 50 posts. The Higher # the posts, the less likely a scammer would want to make that maney LEGIT posts.

And the longevity of their account. Whos going to buy from somone that created their account 2 months ago? wtf

This has been talked about repeatedly. Do your homework before you make a purchase, get info, get a number and call the seller, don't let them call you. Pay with a CC so you can charge back if need be.

Its not the sites responsibility to make sure you make a smart educated purchase.

I understand. I have seen it for quite some time now, just never addressed it because it wasnt happening to me.

Eh... yeah

oh is this teh part where everyone forgets to check the thread and see the issue was resolved? funny how that works:) eugenics is my buddy, though:)
resolved? Long after the issue was presented. This was the second time within a reasonably short time line this had happened too. Pathetic for anyone, especially someone with an ego like yours. You are a piece of shit who is incapable of seeing through simple transactions with any competence. You simply lock the unsuspecting buyer into a transaction and then take your sweet *** time once you've got the money.

lets not forget the classic where you tell the buyer simply asking for rectification to go fuck himself.

That is an ignorant way to put it. Yes when I was scammed it could have been avoided, but to me he looked legit. He had only 3 refs, true, but was seliing other equipment at the time as well and I didn't see any negative threads about him, so I thought I would see if I can trust him and well you all know how that went.

And I "have a brain" as you put it, and yet I still got scammed. I am one to try and fully research someone before I buy as well.

It's funny, threads about scammers, but then you have member bashing "noobs" who are worried about being scammed, telling them they have to be more patient and asking them how long it's been.

Then you have members making the constant excuse of "they're not on 24/7 like you guys" and "they have a life".

There seems to be a huge problem with communication that no one addresses, and when new people who aren't used to the system want answers, they get shot down and told they need to wait.

Oh yeah, and buy with a credit card. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

See above post, we seem to have more assholes than scammers on this site //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
