thinking about marriage...

I would never want to pee on a girl who I am really interested in being with. You are a crazy person.
Dude you aint gotta do it, she just gotta be willing to. Shit gets stale is all I'm saying. You'll be at an age where getting on top and pumping for 5 minutes will get played out. What if she dont want to **** you off? You stuck with some prissy broad for life that will only give you some 3 times a week. I just can't go out like that.

On top and pumping for 5 minutes works for me. ...*** isn't that important to me.

I personally don't believe nine months is adequate time for the relationship to "settle". My ex and I were together for a year and half. For the first 6-8 months everything was golden.... *** all the time, going out, spending time, etc. After that it got rocky, but only because I couldn't stand the "pressure" of a relationship and whatnot. I got her a promise ring into the relationship and we talked about getting married quite often. Although this all seems swell, I'm only now turning 19 and she is 18.... Marriage while you are young is too much... but in the grand scheme of it all it won't help reading all of this because if you believe you are in love w/ this girl enough to marry, no ones word will sway your vote ( at least in my case it didn't help)

well, my girlfriend and i have been dating for 9 months now. we met at school (texas a&m univ), she's now going to be a sophmore and i'm going to be a junior. we've had our share of problems but we ALWAYS sort them out the next day. we can never get enough of each other, and i love her to death.
anyways, we went out to eat tonight and came back to her house and she said 'i want to marry you'. well, i've known for a while that she's 'the one' and its just a matter of when she realizes it too. we talked about it for a little while. i didn't want to freak her out or anything but she said she doesn't even want to be engaged until shes like a senior in college, meaning around 21-22 years old...

this has me thinking, why put an age limit on something like this? i understand wanting to be out of college to get married and i'm totally for that but the thought of even getting engaged seems out of the question to her.

i know i'm being a little rash w my decision making but i'm just a little confused as to how someone can say 'i want to marry you' but yet NOT want to even think about getting engaged?

anyways, what are yalls thoughts?
dont do it you will regrete it.

she is actually being intelligent about it. You guys are far too young to be thinking of marriage. You have not experienced much of the real world at this time. I was married young and was far too immature to know what i really wanted out of life. If you are ok w/ marrying her now, what difference would a few years make? why the hurry? enjoy life as it is now and let things develop. live together for a few yrs then make your decision.

they are also from a different era. times were different back then, people actually viewed marriage as a life long choice back then. not a im committed till its too hard then we divorce.
