I owned a pair of perfect 12's and found that they don't cover the the upper frequencys of bass that well, and need to be reinforced with a pair of midbass speakers in order to get proper low frequency reproduction. The bass that the perfects do produce is smooth as silk though.
One warning about these speakers is that the glue that attaches the voice coil to the spider is brittle in comparison to most other high performance subs and will break apart when pushed to its suspention limits for long periods of time, so keep in mind that the infinity perfects are built for sound quality and are not designed to handle the abuse that some bass freaks commonly put their subs through(like me).
Also, I talked to one of the tech guys at infinity and asked for a suggested sealed enclosure size, they told my that the perfects perform best in a large 1.5 to 2.0cft (per sub). I tried my perfects in both a dual 1.25 and 1.6cft box and found that the perfects ounded best in the 1.6cft box.
