actually if u leave gas out long enough it will become non flamable.....if u want to find out....pour some into a bucket and leave it out for like a month or so and then try to throw a match in it...see what happens

The actaul gas doesnt light, the fumes from the gas do. It also depends on the type of gas used. It also depends on the chemical structure of the fuel...some react more than others.
