They originally started in Texarkana long before they opened in Shreveport (though they used to advertise on our local radio over and over and over and over).

Their shop on Hwy 1 (Youree Dr) isn't where it used to be. They've moved further south to just past the main entrance to LSUS.

I went in there once when they were in their old location. They guy was trying very, very hard to get me to believe that the JL slash-series amps were the Be All, End All of mobile audio amplification because they output rated power across varying resitance loads. When he found out that I ran Kenwood gear he literally laughed at me (not the way to coax a purchase out of a potential customer, IMO, by making fun of the gear they already have). I told him JL wasn't the first to incorporate such tech into their amps and left.

The irony is...Street Creations (where I was literally made fun of for running Kenwood equipment) is now the area's only authorized eXcelon retailer.

Go figure....

I would pos rep ya but I did yesterday, What is the time period before you can rep someone again, or how many reps do you have to give out first???
Thanks it's cool. It seems like it's a while b4 you can rep someone again, b/c I left rep's the first day they came out, and I still can't rep those people again. I guess it's a good thing though, because people with multiple aliases would just +rep themselves a ton of times.

This is just a guess, but was the guy pressuring you an older balding guy thats kinda fat???? If so I hate that guy with a passion. Yeah I know their new shop, I went init last time I was home, And they were so nice to me (they usually despise me because me and Alpineinstaller have more knowledge in our little finger than they do in their whole body) They took me in the back and showed me their new SPL van. Decent concept but the guys cant execute the design and the thing looks like shit. The guy keeps rambling on about how loud he has made some systems, said "I had one that did a 165" I said ohhh really, and proceeded to grill him on such things as mic location, wether the vehicle was sealed or was it outlaw, what note that was at. Needless to say he coulnt answer a single question, so again I walk out of the shop with my head held high and them sitting there pondering (probably for the rest of the day) "what the hell was he talking about, and what does mic location mean????"

That's exactly the guy! I don't mind a very slight sense of superiority in a salesperson that really and truly believes in their product(s). But to actually berate someone (who could potentially be a customer) for choosing a different path? That's simply bad business.

Definitely agree with that. You have to do a lot of shopping around to find super stretchy vinyl. My vinyl wasn't very stretchy, so I had to cut them and sew em back up for my doorpods. Carpet is so much easier, you can make cuts and mistakes everywhere and people wouldn't even know.
