system suggestions

hiya all - i could use a little input on my choice of subs / amp here. Reason I'm asking is that I'd like to know which products have good quality, etc so I dont have to buy new subs/amp again.

I am trying to decide between:

1. 2 12 inch JL W3-D4 subs

-or-

2. 2 12 inch Rockford Fosgate HX2 Punch subs

I'll be buying off of ebay or other cheapest alternative. Any suggestions on what amp I will need to drive either of these subs? And which subs would you suggest for cost/quality ratio. I'm not looking to spend a #$*&load of money. Just enough to get the job done. (I'm more a fan of SQ). I'm willing to build either a ported or sealed box. Your actually compairing JL subs to RF subs?? Go with the JL's hands down. (If your interested, I can hook you up with a pair of Power Bass ES-12's for 250 + shipping.) As for an amp, there are a lot out there that will get the job done with out spending a ton of $$.

What do you mean by already have the 4ohm speaker wire??

Right - i guess my question is - what is enough to get the job done - i want a slightly above mid-range system, so I guess that means a slightly above mid-range amp.

And about your decision towards JL Audio - do you have any reasons regarding the two models?

I already have the 4-guage wire installed from my battery to the back (including sound from H/U and ground). Point being all I have to do is buy my system now and install it.

How do those subs compare to the W3-D4's?

should i worry about getting my subs from a retail store? or is eBay alright - do i need warranty?

I have had HE2's (3 12's) and they hit, but the sq was in the crapper.

How do the Power Bass ES's compair to the Jlw3's...I don't know, I have no personal experience with JL.
