subs no longer working

This morning while I was driving home, my stereo started making a bunch of weird beeping noises over the music I was listening to. Once the beeping quit, my subs quit putting out sound, so the first chance I got I pulled over and gave everything a once over to make sure the amps weren't overheating or something. I checked the wiring to make sure nothing came undone and everything looked good. I also checked my fuses and they all looked good. I don't know if the problem is with the subs or the amp and have no way to find out on my own. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem could be and what I can do to fix it, because I just ordered a set of ed k v2s to replace my current subs and they won't be here till july. FYI, I have an mtx 6500d and 2 mtx 12 6000s along with another mtx amp that is 4 channel (I can't remember the exact model but it puts out 45w per ch.)
