Sub size for a 6.5" front system

Does it matter what size one has on the sub for a front system running just one 6.5" mid-bass woofer per side? I am considering either a 12" or a 15" sub for my VW Passat Variant. I know the sub will be able to play much louder, but that is not an issue for me, I won't play that loud anyway, I'm more interested in the integration between the sub and the front system.

ha.. of course not in Sweden one would not want to get outside the range of "Lagom" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I think you would be happy with a moderately powered single 10 or single 12.

honestly do u want noticeable bass or a different source of lows other than ur mids?

i would go 12 for noticeable

10 for different source / noticeable (really depends on the woofer)

8 to me isnt enough cone area for noticeable air movement

my opinion? a 12 in SQ woofer ported
