sub problems...

im new to the threads....ok i had a kicker comp 10" subwoofer and a rf 750 watt amp....i dropped the 10 and broke it. so i got 2 sony xploid's from my friend and i hooked them up. when i turn the volume up it hits once and then theres just one solid booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom until i unplug the rca's from the amp. i checked to make sure the wires are all good, and i think they are. im new to this and any help would be greatly appriceated.

You may have a couple of different problems with your setup. Number one would be bad grounds on the amp and on the head unit (HU). Number two would be bad RCA cables... they may have gotten kinked or the ends may have gotten tugged apart internally. And actually there is a third, but its probably unlikely. Your amp may be bad.

I would clean the grounding places and reafix the grounds to the car frame. If that doesn't fix the problem, try some new RCA's. And if you still can't get it to go away... go and get another amp to test in the spot of yours. If the problem is still there, you have other problems with your wiring and not the amp.
