SUB Matching TIME!!!

I just picked up a Zapco 500m. It's a great amp. 500 watts rms at 2 ohms.

Currently I am running two JL w0's, but it's time they go!!!

I want to run one 12 inch sub...probably ported, since it's a tab bit more efficient.

1) I was looking at the RE SE12 (350-600rms), but wondering if I could drive the HC12 with 500 watts instead(600-1200rms).

2) I'm open to suggestions on other 12 inch subs.....I like the IDMAX, the E12A, and the D2 also.

3) I'm not getting a bigger amp, so I need the crispest boom possible from my 500m.

PS...anyone run a ported SE12 with approx 500ish watts before? How did it sound?

im pretty sure u can run the HC wit 500watts, i know a guy who did

obviously any sub can be purchased and hooked up, but some subs are power hungry and will sound like sh** with only 500rms.

So would that HC sound "good" on the 500m.

To tell you the truth, Ive heard some people say my little zapco pushes more like 600-700 rms

Magnum D2 12". Your amp is most likely underrated because of the quality Zapco offers. So you can maybe squeeze 600-650 rms out of it.

None of you guys read the first post....

"500 watts rms at 2 ohms."

That rules out the HC, D2 and anything else dual 2ohm
