Street glow undercar neon problem help!

My buddy installed his undercar neon kit, fired it up works perfect, anyways he got a sway bar and installed it on his car, he put the **** thing on backwards and the bar crossed the output wire ont he alternator and starting arc welding like a *****. Fried his alternator, anyways, he got a new alternator blah blah cars back to wrunning, anyways, the undercar neons now when you turn it on it just turns on for 1/4 of a second and turns off, just flickers.. figured the transformer was toast. Warrentied it, installed a new one and it does the exact same thing.. flickers once everytime you turn it on and off...

any ideas???

Most likely that one of the tubes is either cracked, inner or outer tube, or there is a loose connection somehwere in one of the tubes. I suggest you test each tube individually if you have the time/motivation.
