Is the question which will be louder? If so...provide the following.

-Vehicle type

-Charging system

-Amp model

-Enclosure volume AND type (I.E. Sealed, ported, bandpass)

not that there will ever be a clear answer without actually testing both, but it helps.

i'm sure someone from tcab have tested both and the type r won hands down. just get a type r and be done with it.

uhhh u wont get to far with that i dont think. i dont know a whole lot about all the spl stuff but you need alot more power and a bigger box tuned higher so unless you have more room than 2 cubes a peice just get 1 or possibly a 15'' and more power.
