Sound problems

I installed a kicker amp in my Tahoe a month or so ago and I noticed that when I turn up the stereo (Panasonic cd3200) to above 20 the other speakers (not the subs) start popping and eventually shut off leaving only the subs playing ?

I have to manually power the unit down and turn it back on for the mid range and other speakers to work again . (6.5 doors, 4x10's in the far back). This problem is just annoying as hell and I would like to know why it is happening and what i can do about it.
