Is this amp any good? has good power for a low price but how bout the quality? are xplod amps any good? only has a 1 year warranty so i'm wonderin about the life expectancy. the good thing about it is that it's a D class amp an can handle 1 ohm loads on a single channel. any advice on this would be appreciated

those amp are the worst things ever. i had one, back when i was young a stupid(2weeks ago). i blew out on me in about 6months, i was only running two sony 10" subs, and the piece of **** killed on me. i suggest investing a little more money becuase it will be well worth it in the long run. and the 1ohm bull ****, that's means nothing, if you do run it at one ohm, two things are gonna happen. 1) the amp is gonna get hot, real hot! 2) the sq is gonna drop but i guess if you're gonna go with a class d, sq isn't your number objective. that's my opion i hope it has helped. but do some more research on amplifiers and then make you choice. (i'm not saying your stupid, just that there are so many companies out there making so many different kinds of amps.)

ok man. thx. that's what i've been hearing about the sony amps so i guess i'll maybe look into a clarion or somethin along that line. either that or get a 3 year warranty on the sony cause looks like i'd need it! hah. (not that i'm gonna get that amp now tho)

i dis agree!! yea i've dogged even my 1902 mobile es BUT, it came w/ a three yr warranty and the problem wasn't the amp but my head unit.(didn't seem as loud) come to find out my 7,yes 7 , year old h/u only put out .7 volts thru the preouts!!! this weekend a xplode h/u unit goes in w/ 5.7 volts. sounds like two totally different systems!!

is sony the best? no, but they are good quality

is it worth the money? yes, if you get the mobile es series

will you be happy? that's up to your ears

bottom line is; don't buy on one guys opinion(not dogging his )

remember everybody has one. there are people here on the forum who think fosgate and kicker ****. just do some research, go to a shop and listen. then decide!

peace and good luck!!

MAN mrray hit the nail on the head with that one. That is exactly the way to think. So many people have different opinions so don't take any one person's advice.....

OH I think RF subs **** too.

I have the sony class d on two he2's. It rumbles a little, but, it defanatly isn't at 1000ws. I have a 60 amp fuse at the battery, and it has never blown. So that right there tells you (60x12=760) it hasn't ever pushed more than 760 PEAK!

I have it runing at 1 ohm!
