I got an audiobahn alum15q 1100 watt rms sub recently.
but i have not got my amp yet because i dont wanna get the wrong one.
OK, the speaker has dual 6 ohm vioce coils that operate on 3 or 12 ohms. Im kinda new to all this car audio but that means the lowest load my speaker can take is 3 ohms right?
So i was eyeballing the jbl bp1200.1 amp to power it.
the amp is 1200 wats @ 2 ohms
and 600 watts @ 4 ohms
so I would have to wire the speaker in parallel to get 3 ohms and it would be pushing about 900 watts to my speaker correct?
Well maybe if there is a better amp i could use or a better way to wire my speaker someone could let me know? any help would be appreciated... thanks
