some glue residue is common on new/fairly new drivers...your ok...

even on the CVRs that i have it smelled like burning at first but now its gone, so i agree with polecat

what about the centercap gets veryhot does anybody's do this

could mean your clipping the amp and sending straight dc voltage to the coil...which is heating them up

its not clipping.....i think its just the amount of power i'm feeding causing the speaker too get a little warm

Probably just the coil heating up...
