So I was leaving the ex woman's house in a pissed off mood and I go to start my truck. It backfires, and won't start not matter what I do. After 2 minutes of this, I get out to pop the hood and see flames shooting out of the air cleaner. I go and beat on the *****'s door and she takes forever to open the door. "What do you want she say."
"My ****ing truck is on fire, move." I grabbed a gallon of water and dumped it on the air cleaner. It took another gallon so I could pick up the air cleaner off the carb. After I did this, a flame shot up through the carb. I grabbed a hose and literally sprayed water into the carb. The fire went out and I started my truck up and it ran. Good old chevy 350 ran like hell. So my hands are pitch black and burned, but my truck runs. I drive it into down town Akron and when I get on the gas, the throttle sticks wide open. I immediately slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting the guy in front of me, and pulled up on the gas pedal with my hand, but it came up with ease. I just turned the key off wire it was in gear and it stopped next to a row of parking spaces.
To make a long story short, I removed the carb, and found that my accelerator pump melted, got stuck and was causing the truck to rev. Now I'm stuck with a $70 tow bill and I have to drive out to Summit racing tomorrow to buy the new parts I need. Why does this shit have to happen on my birthday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Since I know you'll all ask for pics, I'll take them tomorrow. Nothing is seriously damaged, just the air filter and the accelerator pump.
