i was at this site http://www.decware.com/secrets.htm

and it said since this guys subs were amplified and his speakers were just running off his deck amp that the subs were over powering and it sound bad when loud.

i want to get a sub, so will i need to amplify 2 or all or none of my speakers.

i dont want the bass to be too overpowering, i mostly listen to rock, occasionaly rap,

98civic 4 door

6 1/2s up front-infinity ref

6*9s in back-infinity ref

kenwood deck

it also said that you needed crossovers on your speakers and sub/ is this true, and can you hook crossovers up to my speakers?

if you are only getting one sub,you may not need to amp your speakers because it may not be loud enough to drown out your mids. Listen and then decide for yourself
