I built my own box and it turned out pretty good. The only problem is a small air leak through the wire cap (or whatever it is called). The air seems to be through the place where the wire pinches in. I was wondering if I could wrap electrical tape (I'm talking about on the inside of the box) around the place where the speaker wire and plastic piece on the box connect then put silicone sealant over that. I'm sure it would stop the air leak but I was wondering if there would be any fire hazards doing this. Thanks.

It shouldn't be a fire hazard unless you have an electrical current instead of electrical signal..Try to use a bit of silicone around the cup first if that doesnt do it then try some tape but I doubt you will need to.
