Should I become a ricer and buy this car?

Well, I am going to test drive it today. If everything seems in check, I will be buying it over the weekend. I will get back to you guys on how I like it. I am new to turboed Hondas, yes, but hopefully this will get my feet wet. I wanna do all the needed work myself, gotta learn somehow, right?

Also, there are a few other cars that have sparked my interest. A 96 SAAB 900 SE Turbo 5spd with 96k on it for 2200, 93 Lexus SC300 5spd with 125k on it for 2800, an 88 Conquest TSI that needs work but has a big turbo setup on it for 1000, a Nissan 200SX Se-R with SR20DE that needs work for 800. Any opinions on any of these cars guys?

That Saab might not be a bad look they drive really nice and thats pretty low milage for a 96 i got 86,000 on my 06 elantra i bought new only thing is parts are a little expensive stay away from that lexus its probbaly on its last limb

Good luck on the test drive man. the conquests are fun little cars but its a dsm so stay away, those are your money pits, they'll always need something.

Yeah the saab has a big dent in the rear quarter though, its pretty beat. I was seriously considering it though, but I am scared of maintenance costs. I figured the Honda would be the cheapest, or maybe the 200sx IDK.

Yeah but its 2k less than the civic, thats the main reason i am considering it. Itll probably take about another grand to get it running good and on the road. But I would be saving a grand or so...

Have you looked at dsm's at all? you can find turbo awd cars for fairly cheap.I have been playing with them for years. Easy to make fast and it is cheap.

I went and drove it yesterday. The strut problem is worse than I imagined. Everytime you hit a bump in the car, its a loud bang. I am guessing its just the struts bottoming out because they are shot? It pulled good, shifted good, everything seemed to be in good shape. Not a spot of rust that I could find, interior was in great shape. It was a little lower than I would have liked, but thats not a big deal. The dude is basically backing out on the 3k though, trying to get me to pay 3500. I am very leery about paying 3k, let alone more. that is crazy you can buy a 1G here for like 1k-1500 and 2gs are only in the 2k-3k range.

I hope, lol. But at the same time, I hope the dude changes his mind and takes my 3k offer. Although it might not be worth it, it is still a cool little car, and pretty **** quick. Its the fastest car I have been in. Lol I would look for a DSM, but like I said, they are expensive, and either beat to **** or rusted out.

Just wave the 3k in his face and walk away. Money talks. Dsm's just scare the shit out of me. They always seem to have an oil leak you can never track down. I've seen my fair share of the 5-600 awhp dsm's tho, and boy are they fun.
