boosted means that engine is probably beat to hell. But like others stated, the D-series engine are pretty cheap to come by
Turbocharger Diagnosis & RepairHow do I do this? Sorry, like I said, I am a noob to just about everything mechanical, although this car will definitely be a good reason to get into this stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I talked the dude down to 3k. Does that sound like a more decent price?4k is kinda steep
I actually was considering finding out how to turn down the boost lol I am guessing 12psi is going to make this car pretty quick...Its been a year on the rebuild and was done by a shop, I doubt that car will have any problems for awhile. Its on conservative boost, on an already reliable engine, and was put together by a shop. As long as you just drive it like a car and not go and turn up your boost it'll be a pretty sweet ride.
Would I have to go to a tuning shop to have the boost turned down? Oh, forgot to mention, the only thing wrong with the car(according to owner anyways) is the struts are bad because they are the stock struts with lowering springs.i drove my old engine at 8psi and had fun
He said something about Crome, but I have no clue what that is lolShould be a boost control somewhere on the car whether it be under the hood or through a box inside the car.
Its an obd1 tuning program for that engine. So you should be able to adjust the boost through that along with various other things. He said something about Crome, but I have no clue what that is lol
