I don't see "network mode" listed for this unit on Pioneers site..

I didn't read all replies. Did you switch rca's at both the head unit AND the amp? If not, it could be a problem with your rca cables.

The NEX part of AVH-4200NEX stands for network. The manual for this unit talks about setting the band pass crossovers if set for Network mode, but it sort of skims overthe material. Which is strange considering that feature is part of the products model name.
