Second buck ever with a bow.

Points are not relative to body size.
This was a typical 1 1/2 year old buck for our area. He weighed 110lbs live. In other parts of the US such as the north and the midwest, deer weigh much more than they do here. Whereas a 3 1/2 year old buck in my area will weigh about 165lbs, in states such as Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri, 3 1/2 year old bucks can easily weigh in excess of 200lbs.

As far as points. Deer generally reach their "maximum" number of typical points at 2 1/2 years of age. They may put on more trash as they get older. My dad killed a 3 1/2 year old 6 point last year that weighed 170lbs.

And on a side note, I have watched several fawns play with their twin, and with their mother. Part of what hunting is all about.

I have never heard of Onieda. looked them up and they are some wild looking bows. lol.

WV, and no not really anything worth making the trip up here to hunt. Plus we only have like 3 acres of woods to hunt, but I could sit on my back porch and shoot anything I wanted to lol.

Here you go deerhunt:

My daughters first buck 10 point 1 1/2 yrs (left) my little cousins 16 point about 3 yrs (right)

My sons 15 point 2 yr (First deer)

All came out of one pasture within an hour of each other ... With rifles

Props on the bow hunt ...I cant shoot a bow to save my life lol

And are you sure you aged them right? DAM @ the racks for the given ages.

Love the trash on the 16 point, unique rack. But i don't see how he is 3 yrs if the one beside him is 1. Body size don't look as big to me.

He did have a cool looking rack.... I am kinda new to hunting that was my second year and that was 2 yrs ago... but that year was a blast.....Kids had a BLAST

Those were taken in north central OKLA. out here in NW OKLA we dont have them that big

My sons was he had a AWESOME shot about 30 yards out!!!! He was chasing a doe about 5 yards behind her, I whistled, He stopped& looked at me and my son took the shot it was AMAZING!!!!

Dont know how my Daughters went she was with my Uncle.....
