How does Scosche wires compare to monster cables. Is there an advantage with the monster cables because i have heard that they were the best.
You get what you pay for...
lots of people plug the "walmart kit"
IN MY OPINION its junk. dont even waste your money on it.
the rcas are the worst I have ever seen. the fuse is ultra cheap and blows for no reason. the power wire is a weak 14ft long. and you have to run it into a distribution block with 8 ga and power 2 amps with 8 ga ground, kits isnt good if you want to run one nie powerful amp(dont give ground unless u dont use all 14ft)
much better places to look;

I also have a page in the for sale section with tons of wires and stuff to put a custom kits together(streetwires stuff)

Got a quick question for you Ramos. How much is on one of those bulk rolls of 0 ga and how many feet are on it? Or do you have to buy it buy the foot and how much does it cost that way? One last question. IS it a super or regular walmart cause all we got know is a reg and we are getting a super in a year? they said when they become a super over here they will carry more wiring. I like walmarts wiring kits for most installs. Other than those all the car audio stuff pretty well *****.Sounds like you bought the wrong kit. They sell them in 10ga, 8ga, 4ga and my local wally world just starting selling bulk spools of 2ga and 0ga. What do you mean by " the power wire is a weak 14 ft long " are you using wire structurally or for power ?
P.s. I do agree you get what you pay for. Which IMHO is alot more bang for the buck with scosche. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I would have to agree with Ramos. How mbig of difference is there really with a power wire. Rca's there is a big difference of course. But with the power wire i just don't see how it is possible. Maybe if a different metal was used. That could create some resistance.I never ever said wire means nothing. I just don't want someone to blow their hard earned dough on some freakin eye candy . There is nothing wrong with the knukonceptz either, used to use it before the local wally world started selling wire. But you can't tell me you can honestly hear the difference between $10 a foot power wire and $1 a foot power wire. Given the same proper gauge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
And what were you trying to say here?Cry me a river, maybe you guys should head into McDonalds and ask for a deal on your hamburger because your mommy can make it cheaper. The guy has a business to run as does Walmart. Walmart buys more and gets a cheaper cost on it. Does this mean the little store is ripping you off, hell no, he sells it for what it should be sold for at the price he has to pay for it. And about wires, most brands of wire that are brand name are very similar BUT with most of the wire being made overseas now the US and Canadian market has seen rapid growth of new brand names of wire kits and types. Take Viszer that we have available. Here a 4 gauge kit sells for $50.00 and a Scosche EFX sells for $100.00. Whats the difference if they are both 4 guage, lots, compare the 4 gauge wire, the Scosche has a way higher strand count and the physical size of the wire is almost twice the size of the Viszer garbage that is half the price. The Viszer garbage is a nice thick heavy jacket that looks real nice, the wire is OFC wire is then wrapped in a silver spiral braid and then coated in the jacket. The jacket is of no uniform thickness, nor is the wire centered properly in the jacket. Guess what whiners, this is a no name brand that is made by who knows who in SingaKoreaChinaTiawanapore and rebadged under no fewer than 25 BRAND NAMES. Is it Scosche EFX, no it is not, is it Monster, no it is not. Do companies like Monster, Scosche, Lightning, Phoenix, Streetwires spend $ developing components and patent them, hell yes. So do not tell me that the generic brand is the same thing. Compare what you are getting, you get what you pay for. Some items in these kits are of great value, like a fuse holder or ring terminals and in the Vizser kits the rca cables are killer. It is good value for the price, but to comapre it to a Scosche kit is just plain wrong and an unfair comparison. There are some good knock off brands out there, no doubt and the US market may have more available as well. Just compare things on an even playing field. If I could only show you guys what I show my customers here in the store. Never assume anything, I'm sure you know the wording behind assume.
