school competition

I have a 1982 Chevy S-10, a JVC deck, Kicker I650 coax's, Kicker IX702 amp and a 10" solo baric(last years L7). I am setting up a sound competition at my school and was wondering how you think I would do against some other systems. The other stereos at this school are mainly an 1985 Camaro with a pioneer h/u Mtx dash speakers, Jensen 6x9's in the back, a pair of HE2 10's and a power acoustik gothic series 320w. amp. A 1988 mustang with a pioneer deck factory mids a RF amp, unknown wattage(around 400 i think) and two no-name 12's. there might be more, but that is all I really know about. thanks.

i would suggest a jbl 1200.1 (off ebay for under 300) and some apline type r, mtx 8000, or some polk momo's.

my 2 15l7's might win, i also have a jbl 1200.1 and an extra batt. its kinda loud, in the 147-150 range but i need to port it and get another amp . can you say 155 easy?

Wait for the new Phoenix Gold Titanium 1200.1 to come out, it does 1,200x1 at 4 ohms and 1,400x1 ar 2 ohms.

uuhhmmm...

what's in my mind right now really is the calss D amp of MTX.. how about putting some 8100D amp in your system? im sure it wont let you down.... for subs.... stick to kickers, get another one so you'll have two. anyway you already have one..
