Running Speaker Wire

I need to get speaker wire from my door to the cabin of my truck and its proving to be somewhat difficult. The stock rubber boot is really high on the door and is hard to get at, and even if I can get access to it, its crammed full of wires which will make feeding more wire through it a pain. The only other option I guess is running the wire from the skin into the cabin but I don't want to make it look ghetto. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to do it right?

What kind of vehicle? And are you replacing stock speakers in the doors, or putting in new ones where there's no factory spot?
Its in a Chevy Colorado. I already put the mids and tweeters in the doors but I am adding a image enhancement kit (CDT speakers) and I need to run wires from the crossovers back into the truck.

i'm not sure if your vehicle has factory mounted speakers on the door, but if it does you can try this method. it may or may not work for you. it depends on how your vehicle was wired. first off, try to locate the factory speaker wire inside the cabin by the door. if you are able to yank on the wire and it moves on the speaker end, that means you'll be able to wire you new speaker wire using this method. second, cut off the factory speaker connector that connects the speaker wire to the speaker. tie the new speaker wire you want to factory wire. be sure it's tied really good. now pull the factory wire from the cabin end through the rubber boot, the one you pulled ealier. if done right, when you pull your factory wire, you new wire will be pulled through the rubber boot. sorry if it doesn't make sense, i'm not that good at explaining some things. good luck.

okay, just did the same thing with my chevy truck and CDT enhancement kit. It's not a colorado so it may differ slightly. I started at the boot. Popped it off from both sides and started running wire from there into the door and cab. You can't take the boot all the way off obviously because it's full of wires. After popping it out from the metal, I compressed it and ran wires down into cab, removed kick panel and grabbed the wire and went from there. Pulled it all the way in until the other end of the wire was near the boot. Keeping it compressed, push that end of the wire into the door. Through the factory mid speaker location, using a mirror, I guided the wire along side the factory power window, locks etc. wires and then to where the tweeter was to be located.

I used a wire coat hanger to do both my '88 tbird and my gf's '95 Montero.

Straighten out the hanger and bend it in half so you have a foot to 18" and a loop at one end. Feed the loop through the speaker hole into the boot and into where the kick panel is - loop the wire through it and pull it back through. It's always worked pretty well for me.
