U Unregistered Guest Mar 16, 2002 #3 depends if your headunit can drive your amp to full power with zero gain best way to adjust amp gain set amp gain to flat( zero) turn headunit volume control to 3/4 of max volume turn amp gain clock wise till speakers starts to distort then turn amp gain alittle back amp and head unit is set for max volume before clipping acures
