RE's mystery sub reveiled....maybe?

A few weeks ago there was a post showing an undisclosed new sub from RE and they said that they had not decided what to do with it or name it I believe. They just promised that it would wang like nothing else.

Well tonight while reading through the new C&E 04' directory at the top of page 173 listed at the bottom of the RE Audio listing there is listed the "XMX18 and the XMX24". A 18" and a 24" sub priced at $8999.00 and $9999.00 WTF have we here.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif power handling on both is printed as being 5krms..

Food for thought..... the MT is already comparable to the Solox 18, and is better than the SoloX..... So whatever the new sub is... its gonna be better than the SoloX by a mile.

The MT has a like 6 world records right now.

Yes, but you need atleast 5kw to power it/get it moving! Otherwise it will be too quiet!

I thought that the MT hadn't been released yet? With that being said what and how does it hold 6 records, doesn't a sub have to be commerically availabe to be legally used in competition? Just curious, if I'm wrong my bad.....

yes the MT is available in sizes i think in 10 12 15 and 18

What's the deal with all the info people seem to have about RE products, I've tried calling them and emailing but that's an exercise in futility. The website has yet to be updated so where is everyone getting the info? email them they will send you prices or look around the forum, and big superman i think the MTs are WAY louder than XXX's because they are meant to be a competition sub, but the sq on the XXX is better than the MT
