Replacing Interior Lights?

I have a '01 Pontiac Grand Am SE1 & I can't stand the factory red lights that are throughout the dashboard. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I'd go about replacing them, and how to find out what size of bulb I'd need. I want to switch them to either blue or purple lights to match my cd reciever. I'd appreciate any help that anyone could give me with this.
