You don't use regular glue. Goto an autoparts store and get a rear view window repair kit. I used it on mine and it's been held on for 2years now.

Im not an idiot man, come on.. Thats what I used, and it always fails.

And about the mirror laws, I am pretty sure you only need a driver's side mirror. My friends brother hit something and knocked off his passenger side mirror and rode without it for a couple months, never got ticketed.

Idk everyone I know that has used it has never had problems? are you cleaning the surface properly?

Go to a place that sells industial tools and buy some loctite 401 or even 495 super glue. I used it on mine a year or 2 ago after trying crazy glue and a couple of others. Haven't had a problem since
