Rear Speakers

If I buy a nice cd player and front component speakers, will leaving the factory speakers in the rear ruin the sound? I'd like to save the 150$+ that I'd need for parts/installation.

If the effect is negligable, then I'll pocket that cash and buy a better cd player/front speakers.

Or, am I better off with less expensive cd player/front component speakers and new speakers in the back.

It's a 4 speaker system, all 6.5".

Thanks,

Back's not really all that important, if I was you, I would get the nice head unit and the nice 6.5 components and just not even bother plugging the rear's back in. See how that works, then if you son't like the way it sounds, just plug the back speakers back in. I don't think you will notice too much of a difference. It's not like car stereos have a seperate channel for back speakers only (unless you got a/v equipment and have 5.1 sound or something).

Ok that's the way I'll head, if there are any problems I can always buy rear speakers down the road.

What are decent prices for an average installation of a new head unit and component speakers? They both should fit in the car without any problems, I don't think it will be too complicated but I want a professional to handle it.

Thanks Again,
