Does anyone make rear seat raisers for a '01 gmc extended cab?? if not, could it be made out of wood (most likely oak hard wood if i make it) I'm thinking of making them myself if i cant find any and just wondering if a 3" hard wood block would be strong enough to support the weight of the seat and 2 people.

Hey go to your local pipe and steel supply. Get some 1/8 or 1/4 in tubular steel cut to your specific mounting locations and drill the holes, get longer bolts and your done.

the tubular steel I got was 1/8 in thick and it is like 2x4 inches but there is like 1x3 2x3 a lot of differant sizes and with that you can turn them to be like 4 in high or 2 inches high, If you need a pic let me know.

If there is a metal recycling place near you just go look through some of the junk. I know around here if you want to take only a small piece they won't even bother to charge you. And if they do it's only a few cents a pound

If you want something like those pics just let me know the height you want to go, How long you want actual riser and the bolt centers. I could do it and have them shipped tomorrow.
