how do u think this setup would sound

alpine mrp-m350 that put out 350 watts rms @ 2 ohms (a little underrated)

2 cu.ft. ported box tuned to 33 hz

all goin in a reg cab.....give me some opinions on this setup....should i do this setup?????? i already have the amp so jus mainly on the subs

because if u were lucky each would be gettin 100watts from that amp.. and the RMS is 150 and they have been known to take in the 200s

also a SSF isnt a must...

well to start off with with ported it is much more efficient so i think 100 will doit well..

jus look at bigbassmans setup where he has 18 of em hoooked up to a 1500 watt amp or some thing like that..thats LESS than 100 to each

also if ur gonna go ported i do believe that u do need a ssf unless u like to replce blown subs and me i dont...

oh yea i heard that the re8's aref fixen to go on sale for 33 bux any1 know when???????

he has a 2000watt amp lol... and i know lots of people who have done competions wit out a ssf and also daily drivers without SSF

hes probably not going to get 100 watts persub,and no a ssf isnt a must.Why do you post if your gonna tell everyone they are wrong?

just for the record.. with my PA 2100d... I had around 80 watts a driver...

but 80 watts per sub equalled 1440 total watts. That's plenty of power combined with the massive amount of surface area.

350 watts with somewhat low surface area will not be very loud.

I recently hooked up 4 re8's to my MTX 81000d and have each 300. They began to bottom out so i turned it down some, but they can easily take 200 a peice.

You just have to be careful when porting without a ssf, tune it rather low and try to avoid frequencies below your tuning freq.

I have 200 watts to each with no problems and no SSF with no problems in a ported box. If your blowing subs without a SSF in a ported box than the problem is with you not the box, sub, amp or lack of a SSF. how many amps do u think that 1200 watt amp from elemntal designs would pull (i think its called the nine.2 or nine.1 whichever is the 1200 watt one.) with that deal with the amp and subs it would run the amp at 2 ohms rite?????how many amps do u think it would pull at 2 ohms???

1200 watts would draw 96 amps at 12.5 volts.
