RE8's as home audio!!!

Jemorgan85 and I hooked up our 4 RE8's box in his room to his Cerwin-Vega amp.

The amp is rated at 100 watts at 4 ohms but we hooked up a 2 ohm load. We only listened to it long enough for the amp to get a little hot then turned it back down.

I was very pleased with both the SQ and SPL of these tiny monsters. I enjoyed listening to it more in his room with ~150 watts than in his car with 1225 watts.

I recommend this to anyone trying to find a good home audio sub for a good price. Make sure you don't tune below Fs though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

on movies they would most likely disappoint....car audio subs are build to perform well in a small cabin...and many companies rely heavily on cabin gain for there product to work well....in saying that most music dose not drop lower then 30htz (in which car audio is built for) where as home theater can drop down to under 15htz...

now there are some exceptions to the rule...but for the most part keep car audio in the car and home audio in the home.....

adire tumult or stryke audio av15...are the way to go for home stuff!
