I have a Pioneer head unit and I have 2 Pioneer 12"s and 2 8"'s. Therefore I have 2 amps, but only 1 set of RCA Jacks running from my head unit. I need 2 sets of RCA Jacks running from my head unit. I need some kind of extension or something. Please tell me what I need if you have any idea on what I need. My e-mail is swinehunter56@yahoo.com

I know of 2 options off the top of my head:

1. Buy an RCA Y-Connector. (Single RCA in, Dual RCA Out)

2. Buy a Crossover. Single set of RCA inputs, which is split through the crossover, usually into 2 or 3 otputs, Depending on the type of crossover you buy.

hello

RCA y-connectors are probably the easiest and most cost effective way to go. I'm running two amps with these, no problem. These will have one female end and two male ends. Plug one male end into one amp's right or left input, and the other into the second amp's right or left input->make sure they correspond. Do it again with a second y-connector. Piece-a-cake.

Vargy is right Y-adapters are the cheapest way to go, however, if your HU has a low pre amp output voltage your amps will have to work harder to amplify the weaker signal. If this is the case Id invest in a crossover.

actually the both amps will get the same amount of voltage the amount of pre amp power will not change because you are using a set of y adapters.....it shouldnt put any extra strain on your h/u......jus thought i'd let you know....good luck....
