rca hook up question

ok i got a four channel amp the other day and i wired it up without even thinking that it would take 2 pairs of rca cables, which it obviosly does, but my deck only has 2 pairs and now i need to hook my sub amp back up. I dont want to get another deck if this will work so can i get 2 of those y connecters (taht you use on vcrs to plug a a sterio vcr into a mono tv) and run my sub amp and the rear 2 channels on my 4 channel amp of of the rear channels on my deck.
