Rattling Taking Some Bass?

Does rattling take some of the bass out a car... like inside rattling I have sony speakrs in the back (tensil leads snaped) and the covers on them hella rattle.... do u think trhis is taking away the hit in some of the bass?..... im also gonna put some second skin back there.... will my bass hit more?

putting sound dampner back there will reflect sound so you get a lot less rattling (if done right) and increased sound.

When I sealed my trunk and put Carpet padding (CHEAP DAMPENING) in my bumper behind my lights and in my trunk. Then I sealed it up with Rubber tubing around my lock. I slammed my trunk shut and BLAMMO just like that my trunk doesnt even make a sound nor does anything around it and to add a little bit to it It made my music louder because no air can get out now creating a tighter seal.
