Random Question Thread

They can also pull you over if you're out of their jurisdiction. They're basically "licensed" to the state, meaning they can pull you over if they catch you breaking a law anywhere within the state. If they pull you over, I think they're supposed to call for a cop from that jurisdiction though, to issue the citation.
Evading arrest is a felony in any state. Straight to jail.

To the OP: Yes, A cop has powers of arrest in any county of the state in which he/she is licensed . Though the prisoner would be taken to the jail of the county in which the prisoner was taken in to custody and the district attorney would have to file for extradition.

I wasn't talking about evading them.

Even if an officer is out of their district, they can still write a ticket, it just has to be sent to the county of offense. Let's say you're on the interstate, you pass an out of county cop, they can still pull you over and issue a citation, even though they're not in their district. At least that's how it is in Tennessee.

I have a few random questions that don't deserve a whole thread, but I would like answered. Maybe other people have random questions too, so feel free to ask and answer, as long as they are serious answers.
What would cops do/say if they flipped on their lights behind you, and you didn't run, accelarate, do anything to try and elude them, but you just kept driving normally?

What if, as above, it was a county cop, and you crossed county lines while driving? Could they still pull you over and issue a ticket? Would they radio a state cop? Could they radio another cop from the new county and have them give you a ticket?

More to come later, these are the only random questions I can remember for now.
1. It could be considered misdemeanor/felony evasion. Depending on where in the country you live they could either follow you until you run out of gas, or PIT manuveur you.

2. Most counties give each other cross jurisdictional power. More than likely the pursuing agency would contact the new county agency and they would join in in the chase until you were apprehended. You'd go to court in the county where the violation originated.

I watch a lot of 'Cops'//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If you ********** in your room will there be sounds?

If you run in a circle does the world turn with you?

If a chicken fell from the sky what would you do?

If your gf had *** with your best friend and you knew about it what would you do?
