How can you know that you teared?
You wouldn't know phisically. But if you get emotionally sad enough to cry, it will happen. Conciously you wouldn't really know as far as feeling the tears rolling down your face. But when you tear, thats not the only thing that happens. Some face muscles are pulled, and you can feel other things then the actual tears that would signify you are crying.

What if, as above, it was a county cop, and you crossed county lines while driving? Could they still pull you over and issue a ticket? Would they radio a state cop? Could they radio another cop from the new county and have them give you a ticket?

I believe it's against there jurisdiction. One of my elective teachers in high school told me a story on how she was getting chased by a female cop. My teacher knew the county line was about to be reached so she kept speeding. The cop sirened and followed her but once my teacher passed that line, the cop couldn't do anything else but turn around and mind her own business.

your teacher was wrong. if they start the pursuit in their jurisdiction they can follow you out. but they have to be IN an active pursuit. they can't just turn on their lights as they cross the border. they DO have to get permission from the new jurisdiction, which from what my friends that are cops have told me, isn't hard.

the call goes something like this

"this is officer smith from wayne county, i'm in pursuit and im' coming up on your oakland county border and the driver will not stop, do i have your permission to come into your jurisdiction to complete the stop?"

usually the new jurisdiction just says yes because they don't want to deal with it. or they will send back up and the new jurisdiction will pull you over but the old jurisdiction will write you the ticket.

They can also pull you over if you're out of their jurisdiction. They're basically "licensed" to the state, meaning they can pull you over if they catch you breaking a law anywhere within the state. If they pull you over, I think they're supposed to call for a cop from that jurisdiction though, to issue the citation.
