radio dosent pick up stations clearly, whats go on?

my cd player does play radio stations clearly, when its on a cd its plays fine but when i turn it to the radio the stations it plays staticy, is it because my CD player is kinda old or is my antenne not hooked up right?

Check beind your deck to make sure the antenna plug hasnt come loose, or is rattling around back there....You should be picking up radio fine, depending on the area you're in.

ya, make sure the antennae is connected and working

I have the same problem,after I hooked up all the equipment is when I started getting all the static crap and thats the local staion,the staions in the city I dont even pick up.Gonna try a FM booster see what happens.I also read somewhere that certain amps might cause the interference.
