Hi! I bought me in the year 1998 mercedes c 230 kompressor., I got an amplifier clarion 4x80., freands told me that original speakers in the mercedes are not strong enought for this amplifier, and i have to change all the speakers in the car, there where 8 with all tweeters. Much money i hasnt, and wauiting antill i will get them i didnt want, so i bought me 4 Infinity 655i q 165 60 w rms 2 ways koax, for the front doors and rear (heck) panel., focal tweeters in the front panel 50w, and 2 RCF 2 ways not koax, tweeter is seperate, in the rear door, and then i bought me a subwoofer 350w rms + 2 chanel PPI ampl. I installed ait in my car, i damp my doors as well. The point is I installed it all without any crossovers, exept RCF tweeters- there where some **** in the cable of the tweeter., And now i feel that I installed something wrong, that why i think that i havent any middle tone speakers, or those infinity are full range speakers???

sounds like a few things are happening here.

1) the things in the wires are most likely the crossovers for the tweeters and should betwwen them and the amp.

2) make sure the other door openings are sealed off on the inside or you may be getting cancellation hance no midrange.

3)In my opinion Infinity speakers dont produce a very strong midrange so sealing the inside of your door with dynamat or a reasonable substitute may help.
