QUICK HELP I"M BUYING AN amp this week!!!

chey i just bought an audiobahn alum12x

it can run at 3 or 6 ohm

rms of about 900 watts give or take

I NEED AN AMP

the one i like so car is the audiobahn A1500 hcx

this is what it puts out: 500 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms mono | 1000 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms mono | 2000 watts x 1 @ 1 ohm mono

im also checking out the jbl 1200.1

puts out 600x1 4 ohm and 1200x1 at 2 ohm

any more ideas or opions? i want a nice looking amp for custom install

i like the audiobahn more b/c it has a remote switch for controlling the volume

but...will it be ok to just put i figure 750x1 at 3 ohm to it?

how do i determin the amp draw for my amps hu ect?

Both amps will probably outperform your sub.

Current draw on most non-class D amps is 65-70% of its output.

The more efficient class D amps cut current draw to about 30-35% of output.

what do u mean by out perform my sub?

will a car with an 80 amp altinator be ok then? i also have a v12 amp at about 180 rms

and ill have a 1 farad cap

running 4 and an 8 guage power wire
