question on amps

i'm looking to buy an Alpine MRD-M501 mono amplifier and two Alpine Type-R 12" subwoofers. The Alpine MRD-M501 is 2-ohm stable and puts out 275 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms and 550 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms......so my question is which subs should i get......should i get two Alpine SWR-1221D's which are dual 2-ohm subs, or get two Alpine SWR-1241D's which are dual 4-ohm subs. wouldnt i get the 550 watts RMS with the SWR-1221D's??
